Médecins Sans Frontières’ (MSF) medical staff
work in conflict areas and emergency situations. Sometimes they are
sent out to provide assistance during relatively brief
interventions, other times the situation requires MSF to stay for a
longer period. Our staff treat patients in hospitals, health
centres and mobile clinics. They treat people with endemic diseases
such as malaria, but also those living with chronic diseases such
as HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis as well as communities hit by
epidemics of disease such as cholera or measles. Our medical staff
often provide care in remote, isolated areas where they work
closely with local medical staff and provide training to them when
needed.
At least two years of relevant work experience is required.
Strong assets: training in tropical medicine, public health and/or
epidemiology.
